• Spear is one of the world's largest printers of film labels, with multiple facilities in The United States, Europe and Africa.
• Our labels have won over 50 national and international printing and packaging awards over the last three years.
• Spear’s production facilities include fully-integrated computer-to-plate art departments, providing the highest quality and quick project development time.
• We offer creative support and brand evaluation through the use of design concepts and prototypes.
• The Spear Toy BOX identifies the latest innovative film, ink and application technologies to help our customers create dynamic one-of-a-kind packaging.

Label Application

• Spear Application Systems (S.A.S.) is dedicated to supporting the efficient operations of pressure-sensitive labeling equipment at fillers, co-packers, container manufacturers and contract decorators around the world. Since its inception in 1984, SAS has maintained a leadership position in pressure-sensitive label application, which has led to the development of multiple application patents.
• We stopped the manufacture of nameplate equipment in 2005, but not before we placed over 300 labeling systems for beverage, personal care and food items throughout the globe. Our application efforts are now focused on improving the quality and efficiency of pressure-sensitive label application, regardless of the equipment manufacturer. Spear’s expertise has assisted equipment manufacturers in the development of the leading application technologies used today.
• Spear’s application engineers are stationed around the world to provide a fast and thorough response to technical and service issues.
• Our contract decorating network is available for small volume items, test markets and promotional packages.

Label Performance

• Spear developed the world's first label capable of withstanding pre-fill labeling, showers, pasteurization, hot fill, retort and in-line labeling.
• Our technical developments include the first pressure-sensitive labels capable of washing off in returnable bottle washers (Thermo Wash^®), the first pressure-sensitive label capable of being recycled with PET bottle flakes and the first established liner recycling program.
• Spear’s Technical Services Group is dedicated to analyzing customer line, processing and distribution conditions, including process simulation labs and equipment at all production facilities.
• We maintain developmental relationships with major material and application equipment suppliers, which ensures technological leadership and, often times, material exclusivity.
